Kaijsa Calkins, Head of Research & Instruction: About me
Prior to joining the library faculty at UW, I worked in reference and instruction positions at Pierce College, University of Washington-Bothell and Cascadia Community College, and Seattle Central Community College. I hold a Master of Library and Information Science from the Information School at the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (with concentrations in American Studies and Culture, Literature, and Arts) from University of Washington-Bothell.
Until I moved to Wyoming, I was a lifelong resident of Washington state. I still root for my alma mater and my hometown teams, especially the Mariners and the Seahawks, and will likely never get over the theft of the Sonics. Like Oprah, I have an ever-expanding list of favorite things, but these are constants: live music, Vivace Coffee, perfume, road tripping the USA, reading as much as possible, bourbon tasting, ballet and theater, and spending time with friends and family.
