What is TIP?

TIP is an interactive tutorial about information literacy that you can add to your WyoCourses shell.

Import Steps

Log into WyoCourses and go to Commons.

Search for TIP UWYO

Select TIP (Tutorial for Info Power) and then choose Import into Course

It may take a few minutes for the file to be imported into your course.

Once it has, go to Modules in the lefthand navigation. The TIP Full module will appear in your list of modules.

If you want students to go through different parts of TIP at different times in the course, you can drag these tutorials and quizzes to where you'd like them to appear.

To set a due date for a quiz, click on the quiz (e.g. TIP Quiz: Utilizing) and choose Edit in the top right. Date options are at the bottom of the page. Be sure to save your changes!

To change how many points a quiz is worth, Edit the quiz and go to the Questions tab. You can change how many points each question is worth - fractions of a point are an option.

Students' quiz scores will appear in your gradebook for the class.

 

Trouble viewing TIP?

The links below are to an HTML5 version of the TIP modules. Students can try these if they are having difficulties with the SWF version in WyoCourses. These modules do not include quizzes.
