Introduction

Intended for the Coe Help Desk, this source provides color-coded links from:

  • Categories (to bring like topics together)
  • Circ Manual contents
  • Collections/eResources selections
  • Definitions of library terms
  • Help Desk Guide contents
  • Institutional Webpages (library and UW)
  • Intranet Pages (selections)
  • LibAnswers Q&As
  • LibGuides (patron- and staff-oriented)
  • Librarians' Picks (database)
  • Other Webpages
  • Technology terms
  • Tutorials (UW and vendor)

To help interpret the color coding, we've added the Color Codes along the right hand side of every page.

General Approach

  • This is a work in progress; if you have corrections or suggestions send them to me at arsdale@uwyo.edu.
  • The topics are listed alphabetically but searching this LibGuide in the box above may be faster to find a topic.
  • I tried to choose the most-used or shortest term; when it had variants I added cross references in italics
  • I thought about using anchors so I could provide internal linking, then decided it was too much work especially after I decided to break it up by letter-pages.
  • While trying to retain web page titles, I occasionally edited them to move the most significant word(s) to the front, for example "Determining Wyoming Residency" became "Wyoming Residency, Determining."
  • Sites with multiple pages are marked with an "#".
